About Course

Course Overview

This self-paced IELTS Writing Task 1 course is designed to help students write clear, accurate, and band-appropriate responses by mastering the language, structure, and skills required by the IELTS exam.

Instead of memorising templates, students are guided step by step to understand:

  • how Task 1 works,

  • what examiners are looking for,

  • and how to use precise grammar and vocabulary to describe data effectively.

Each lesson focuses on a specific skill and targeted language, allowing students to build confidence gradually and write more naturally and accurately.

What You Will Learn

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Understand all IELTS Task 1 question types (line graph, bar chart, table, pie chart, process, map)

  • Identify key features and trends quickly

  • Write a clear and effective introduction and overview

  • Use a wide range of Task 1 grammar structures, including:

    • comparison and contrast

    • trend description

    • passive voice

    • participle clauses

    • complex sentences (although, whereas, while, etc.)

  • Apply topic-specific vocabulary accurately (change, proportion, fluctuation, stability, ranking)

  • Organise information logically into coherent paragraphs

  • Avoid common Task 1 mistakes that lower band scores
